About:Beijing Great Wall

We are planning a day trip to xian from Shanghai

and would like to try and fit in a visit to the Great Wall if possible. Is there an entrance close to the city? Can we take a taxi or train from the city to the wall?

As far as I know, there is a GW section in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, named Zhenbeitai.
To get to the Wall, you should take a train from Xian Main Railway Station to Yulin first.
Upon arrival, hire a taxi or private car to get to the scenic area directly.

The train takes 7 to 8 hours on the way.
The schedules are 07:46, 08:00, 09:00, 14:23, 15:28, 15:42, 17:10, 18:10, 23:06 and 23:12.
BTW, the ticket fare of soft sleeper is CNY231, hard sleeper is CNY154 and hard seat is CNY81.
