About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72hour transit visas

Hi, I want to go from Taipei to Shanghai to Honolulu and the return flight is Honolulu to Shanghai and Taipei. Both have layovers of 30 hours in Shanghai. Will I be able to leave the airport by using a 72 hour transit visa both times? Or can you only use it once in a certain period?

Yes, you can leave the airport by using the 72/144 hour free transit both times. There is no limit to the number of times you can use it in a certain period.
