About:China Visa

From S1 visa to Z type

Hi. I'm Indonesian, currently live in China with S1 type and I also have resident permit. One school offer me a job. Can I change my S1 type to Z type without leaving PRC? Thanks.

Anne, it’s possible. You can try to change S1 type to work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. But I’m not sure it can be converted successfully. It’s worth a try!

Sadly there is no set answer. It depends on the province, the rules[which keep changing], and the schools involved. Your current school must release you, and the next school must have the ability to get a NEW visa for you.
