24 hour in transit with multiple stopovers

I have a visa granted with 1 entry to go from the UK to Guangzhou. We are staying in Guangzhou for 4 days and then travelling to Hong Kong but my flight back to the UK is through China stopping and Guangzhou and Chengdu. Can I use the 24 direct transit? (Total time in PRC from landing to departure is 17 hours) Are various stopovers permitted? And would I have any issues given that I was granted with 1 entry? Many thanks for your help!

Marisa, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit which allows the various stopovers in PRC as long as the total layover time is less than 24 hours.
Don’t worry! There won’t be any issues.
