Malaysia passport, Direct Transit

I'm holding Malaysia passport. I will reach Beijing at 1am on 8th June. And I'm taking another flight from Beijing to Khaborovsk at 2am on 9th June. It's apparently more than 24 hrs at Beijing. Do I need to apply visa? If my stay at Beijing is less than 24 hrs, I don't have to apply for it, right?

Lesley, because you stay in Beijing for more than 24 hours, you need to apply for a transit G type or tourist L type in advance of your trip.
If your layover time in Beijing is less than 24 hours, no entry permit is required because you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit.
