About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Melb > HK > Beijing > return to Melb (via HK but only to change planes)

Am I eligible for the 72 hours free visa/transit in Beijing if I am flying from Melbourne to Hong Kong (stay in HK for 5 nights) then fly to Beijing and stay there for 72 hours and then fly to HK to change planes to fly back to Melbourne?

No it doesn´t work as your route is

Hong Kong - Beijing - Hong Kong.

This is not eligible for the 72h twov.
