how far is the imperial palace from shenyang airport ?

Hello. My friend and I are stopping in the city for 1 night and day but need to get back to the airport by 1. Can we get to the palace easily from the airport ? How far and how do you get there ? Train or bus ? And can we get back to the airport for 1 ? We would leave early to be there for 9am and visit for 1 hour , eat and go ?

Well, it is around 25km between. To reach by public transportation, you can take shuttle bus Railway Station line to SY Train Station (SK Bus Station). Then walk to SY Train Station metro station to take line 1, along which you should get off at Huaiyuanmen. Get out from exit B and walk east for around 700yd to the palace. It is a famous spot, so you can also ask the locals about the directions. With 1 hour, you will only have a general view, and it is best to spend 2 hours there. Then for the back trip, take a taxi at a cost of CNY60 or around.
