About:Visa Policy of China

US Permanent Resident, Pakistani Passport

Hi, I reside permanently in the United States (valid green card) but have a Pakistani passport. Can I apply for a Chinese tourist visa (L) through the consulate in the US?

Dear, you can possibly apply for it from there, but you may be required to provide an invitation letter from Chinese tourism bureau.
