About:China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Is a Permanent Resident Permit holder allowed to work?

Hi,

My spouse is a Chinese citizen and we have been married for 8+ years and we have always been living in China.

Am I eligible for the Permanent Resident Permit and am I allowed to work? Also, I only rent. What are the income or savings requirements?

kindest regards.

Yes, you are basically eligible because of your long marriage and living in China. You can work after getting the permit. Since you can apply for it based on your marriage, there is no more requirements on income and savings.

Hi Steven,
You are able to work once your have obtained the Chinese PR Card. However, it is never easy to apply for the PR card of China and many documents are required during the application process.
