About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

can I enjoy the Direct Visa in Shanghai

Im a Philippine Passport holder travelling to Japan, and I have a 19 hours layover in Shanghai Pudong. Do I need to apply for an entry permit if I decide to go out of the airport? Thank you.

Shanty, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, so no entry permit is required. But you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport if you want to leave there, and it is free of charge.

So you're saying as long as my international flight leaves within 24hours and I stay in the airport- I should not need any type of transit visa or permit? Thanks.

Yes, you are right. But you don't have to stay in the airport.
