About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If I land in Hong Kong and continue flying to Xiamen?

Is this allowed, I am going to China for a short 48 hour visit. Do I need a visa, and If I land in Hong Kong and continue flying to Xiamen is that under the 72 hr rule?

Carlos, may I know where you will fly to after transiting in Xiamen? If you will fly to a third country or region instead of HK, you can use the 72 hour free transit.
