About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong to Bejing to Hong Kong

Visiting Hong Kong and was hoping to go to Beijing for 3 days (less than 72 hours) - if I have a round trip ticket back to Hong Kong, can I visit visa-free?

Karen, no, you cannot enjoy the free transit because according to the 72 hour policy, after transiting in Beijing, you should fly to a third country or region rather than HK.
