About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Visit to HK via Mainland China

Hi ,

I'm a singaporean and my wife is vietnamese. We just got married in singapore and are planning to travel to HK with my parents. May i enquire if we will land in mainland first then train down to HK , does my wife require both mainland and HK Visa ?

Hi Ben, if your layover time in mainland is not more 24 hours, it's possible that your wife can use the 24-hour direct transit policy, but she needs to hold a confirmed train ticket from mainland to HK when she arrives in mainland. If she's not eligible, the entry permit for mainland is necessary.

In addition, she need the entry permit for HK.
