About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is Malaysian passport holder still eligible for 24-hour visa-free transit?

This page does not mention anything about the 24-hour program for those nationalities other than above.
So, the 24-hour program still exists anymore?

Btw, I'm a Malaysian passport holder traveling and my flight on 7 April is KL-Shanghai Pudong-NYC with China Eastern Airline. I will have 6 hour of transit at Shanghai. Can I get the transit permit on arrival?

As far as I know, Malaysia passport holders can still use the 24 hour direct transit. The 24 hour policy does exist.
According to your above route, you can use the 24 hour direct transit. Don’t worry!
