About:China Tourist Visa

Belgian visiting a Chinese friend.

I'm Belgian. I am visiting a Chinese friend in PRC. Which visa would I have to apply for? Been to PRC 2 years ago on a Tourist L type with a Dutch travel agency (individual entry permit in passport issued in Belgium with the help of the travel agency's help centre with a desk in Belgium). But that visit has nothing to do with my visit now...
Should my friend (private person) write an invitation letter or is it easier to get it trough a regular L type (as a tourist with itinerary)?
I will be staying in the same place for about 2 weeks.Is it easier to get an entry permit when I book a hotel nearby? . What should I do when I will be staying at her place? (except for invitation letter).
What do I require apart from the usual requirements (application form, photo, proof of work in Belgium,reason for revisit,...)?
What's the best option with a guaranteed entry permit?

Tom, you can apply for a tourist L type to visit your friend in PRC. Your friend can write an invitation letter to you, in this way, you don’t need to provide the hotel booking record and round trip air tickets. If you have a friend in PRC, it may help you to obtain the L type.
If you will stay in her place, inside the invitation letter, she should state clearly that you will stay with her after you enter.
The above-mentioned documents are enough.
I think the best way is to make full preparation.
