how to get a temporary permit to mainland

Question

I'm flying on to hongkong on Thursday and a visa is not required. My question is can I go to Beijing to visit the great wall of China? If so where in hongkong can I apply a temporary visit to Beijing? I just want to maximize my trip and take a look at China especially the great wall. Thank you.

Dear, as you don't have residency in HK, I'm afraid you can't apply from there. You should apply for a tourist L type visa for mainland China as soon as possible in the Philippines, so that you cannot only visit Beijing, but also other mainland cities. If you don't have enough time to apply, you may need to apply with the help of an agency when you are in Hong Kong.
