About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

What should be first getting visa or buying a tour to go to China for 10 days?

We are Canadians want to travel to PRC. Trip is planned for the end of April.
How much time takes to get a Chinese visa ? Can we apply from Edmonton or we must be physically in Calgary for our application?

Hi Elena! You should buy a tour first and then apply for the entry permit because your travel itinerary, round-trip tickets and hotel reservations are required when applying for the entry permit.

It normally takes four working days to get it. However, if you want to apply from Edmonton, you need to post your applications to the CVASC office in Calgary and it takes ten working days to deal with the applications.
