About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144hr TWOV

Hi, Im looking to fly from Melbourne to Nanjing (transiting at Hong Kong for several hours), stay at Nanjing for 5 days then leave for Hong Kong for 2 nights before flying back to Melbourne. Just wanted to see whether this satisfies the conditions for the 144hr rule?
Thanks!

Louis, I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the 144 hour free transit because before landing in Nanjing, you have a stop in HK, and after transit in Nanjing, you fly back to HK. But in principle, you should fly to a third country or region. Or if you fly back to Melbourne direct after transiting in Nanjing, you can enjoy the free transit.
