About:Hiking from Jinshanling to Simatai

Jinshanling to Simatai West. Is it open in April 2016?

We are planing visiting the great wall and thinking to do this section, but in your website says that is closed. Is It?
If is open, should I do Jinshanling to Simatai or vice versa? I'm a photographer and want to have the best light posible.

Luz, Simatai has been open to the public nowadays; however, the hiking route between the two sections has already been closed. I guess you wanna take a shot of the original looking, right? If so, I think you should not miss Simatai. Although it is renovated, the ramparts and towers are still in their original dilapidated looking. That really has something worth taking shots of.
