Shanghai to Hong Kong, can I enjoy the 72 hour visa free transit?

I plan to fly to Shanghai to visit Disneyland under the 72 hour policy then go to Hong Kong. Will Hong Kong qualify as an onward destination under the policy?

Yes, when speaking of the 72 hour policy, HK is regarded as a third region, so you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit if you fly like that.
