Is a sponsor letter from her husband (who is working there) is enough along with bank statements etc from our side to apply for visa? Because there are three categories under tourist visa and the third option is if we have a letter from a foreign passport (he is having a British passport ) holder who has a permanent resident permit we can apply.My niece is planning on a three day tour over there and we plan to stay with them.As to that reason we did not book any tours from Sri Lanka. Please can you advise...the these categories are a bit confusing.Thank you

Sam, can you give me more details? As far as I know, there is only one category under the tourist entry permit. It should be L type. If you don't have round-trip tickets and hotel bookings, you can get a sponsor letter from her husband and a copy of his passport. Your bank statement is needed.

Dear Charlie,Yes we are planning on applying under L type! But I have no idea how to obtain a letter from Chinese Tourist Bureau. If I can get that then no problem. The second issue is my niece and her husband along with their daughter has been in PRC for two years now, this is their third year...but since he is on a work permit and residence permit can he send us a sponsor letter?? He said we will double check with HR as to what his residency permit status is.Do you think along with his documents and our statements, round trip tickets etc we can get VISA?

1. Sam, you can find an agency and see if it can get the invitation letter from Chinese Tourist Bureau.2. I think he can send you a sponsor letter. 3. I cannot assure that you can get the visa. But it is possible.
