About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Dear Sir, I and my family wish to visit Hong kong and china for a tour.

We have visited before Singapore, Malaysia, India Thailand, and my wife to Netherlands. We can prove our assets also. What is the way to get visa and please let me know what we need to produce. Thanks

You need to apply for two separate entry permits to HK and mainland PRC.
For HK, you need to provide those documents containing copy of your passport, the application form and a passport-style photo, proof of financial support, flight itinerary, and proof of travel purpose to HK.

For mainland PRC, those documents are needed: your passport and copy of its data page, the application form attached with a recently-taken passport-sized photo, an invitation letter from local travel agency, “Invitation Letter for Tourist” from Chinese Tourist Bureau, and your travel itinerary, as well as recent 3-month bank statement.

And then submit the two applications to apply for the entry permits.

Dear sir Can you kindly tell me What is the Invitation letter mean and how can we get it. We are going there as tourists for only 7 days and we are going to stay in a hotel and we wish to reserve it through booking.com. We can provide all others you ask and I cant only understand about that letter. Please tell me Thanks

Invitation letter is issued to those who intend to travel to PRC and it will show your personal details and relative information, including name, sex, date of birth, purpose of visiting PRC, arrival and departure date, places of visiting or stay in PRC, evidence that you haev access to adequate funds for your travel.

As far as I know, the invitation letter is necessary for you to apply for tourist L type. You can find a travel agency and ask it to help you to get the invitation.

Dear sir Very sorry foe trobeling you, We dont have any relatives or friends at china. So what is the way to find a travel agent to get a letter at PRC? Our air tickets,Asset proofs,Our employments,Busineses,And all oters are not enough. Please let me know. Only for Hongkong also do we need to get an invitation letter. Thanks

You don't need the invitation letter for HK. For mainland, you can get this letter through travel agencies. Maybe you can send an email to travel@travelchinaguide.com and see if they can help you.
