Hi, a friend is inviting me this christmas to china where he schools , pls what do i need to do and when should i start processing all documents involved? Am an undergraduate who will be completing in august this year

You don't need to do anything special. Before you apply for the visa, you can ask him to issue an invitation letter to you. And then prepare all the required documents to apply for a tourist L type to visit your friend. You are advised to apply for it one month earlier before your trip starts.
