About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

osaka-shanghai-melbourne

I'm flying into Shanghai from Osaka, Japan. Only planning on staying for 3-4 days then flying on to Melbourne (via Kuala Lumpar). Does this qualify for 144hr visa free transit? Thanks
