cancellation of work z visa

Question

My current Z type expires on 21/03/16. I no longer work in PRC but work in Angola for the same Chinese company. I need to travel in and out of PRC now on business and want to apply for the new 2 year multi entry business M type issued in UK. I need to travel to PRC before my old entry permit expires but will stay longer than the old entry permit validity date. Is it possible to get my current z type cancelled on application for the new entry permit. Application will be in UK.Many thanks

Hi Ronald, as your Z type is going to expire on March 21, if you enter on this Z type and stay longer than the validity date, you need to go to the local Exit and Entry Administration to change this Z type into an L type. After you leave China, your L type will expire automatically and you don't need to cancel it by yourself. Then you can start to apply for the two-year multiple-entry M type.
