About:Hong Kong International Airport

How to get from Hong Kong airport T2 to T1?

We arrive at 12:00 noon from London on Cathay Pacific Thurs 15 Sept 2016. We then have an Airasia flight to Phuket at 21:10. that evening .I guess we will need to collect our luggage & exit from Customs etc, on arrival on the Cathay flight but how do we then get to T2 to catch the Aisasia flights ?. Also, with this setup, is it possible to go to one of the Plaza lounges . We have a 9 hour stopover.

Well, you belongs to I to I transfer from T1 to T2, not T2 to T1.
If you have an onward boarding pass and luggage check through service, you don't need to get the luggage.
If not, you need to collect them and reclaim in T2. But before go to T2, you can choose a lounge to take some rest. Plaza Premium Lounge East is located at Level 6, Departures East Hall (near Gate 1), Terminal 1 and West is at Level 7, Departures West Hall (near Gate 35), Terminal 1.

After having some rest, you can take the direct MTR from T1 to T2. It takes around 10 mins. :)
