lijiang - baishuitai - tiger leaping gorge

Question

I have found the information that there is a direct bus from LJ to Baishuitai leaving at 8:30 every morning, but am not sure how recent and/or reliable this information is. 1. Could someone confirm that this is such a direct bus, even if the time might be different? If so, where does it leave from?2. If I manage to arrive at Baishuitai at around 14:30 (according to the same information that shows 6 hours for the duration), is it realistic to plan walking back to TLG and stay in one of the guest houses on that night? 3. If not possible to walk back, is it possible to hire a car/minibus from Baishuitai?Thanks for your help!

1. Yes, there is a direct bus to Baishuitai from LJ Passenger Transport Station at No. 25, Kangzhong Road, Gucheng District. It departs at 9:00, and the fare is CNY 38 per person. 2&3. The distance between Baishuitai and TLG is about 50 miles (80km). It is not realistic to walk back. You are advised to hire a car for about CNY 200.

Thank you very much. Is it easy to hire a car from Baishuitai to get us (two of us) to TLG? Ideally, after arriving at Baishuitai from LJ and seeing it, we would like to stay in a guesthouse in TLG. So, I imagine that we should leave Baishuitai at around 5PM. Could you kindly suggest where we should try to hire a car?  Thank you!!

Yes, it is easy for you to hire a car to TLG. You can find many cars at the entrance of Baishuitai Scenic Area. Yes, you should leave for TLG at around 5 PM. Have a wonderful time! :)
