can i change my working visa (z type) to student x type?

I`m an ESL English teacher and recently i was thinking to quit my job and study Chinese, so Can i change my working type (Z type) to Student X type?

Thomas, you can contact with the exit and entry administration of the local PSB and ask if you can convert Z type to X type from there. If not, I’m afraid you need to exit PRC and apply for it in your home country.
