Need Suggestions/Options for Extending my Visa in China

I currently am working in PRC and have a Resident Permit that will expire April 24th. I was hoping to stay until May 10 and do some traveling outside of PRC during this period (April24-May 5) and leave PRC on May 10. What are my options? thanks
