About:China Visa Application in UK

If I make an appointment on 14th March, Can I get Chinese visa before 18th March?

I am travelling to China on 18th March. And when I tried to book an online appointment time for Chinese entry permit, no free slot till 14th March?!
According to the instruction on the CVASC website, application should start about one month before the trip but no more than 3 months before. I have nearly 4 weeks time before the trip and it looks like I might not be able to get it in time.
I travel to China almost every year. I think the appointment availability problem has become worse lately. Wonder if it is the travel agencies blocked the time in order to drive people to use their pricy service. In which case I urge the CVASC to do something and make sure the process is clean and efficient for customers.
And I manage to book an appointment only on 14th March. I am travelling on 18th March early morning. If I use express service, can I get it in time?
Or alternatively I can just turn at the door and use the expedited service with extra 15£ any day before 14th March?
Cheers!

Hi Friend! As far as I know, if you apply from the CVASC office in London, it's compulsory to make an appointment. If you apply from the CVASC in Manchester or Edinburgh, you don't have to make an appointment. You can just walk in and the submit the application.

In fact, I think you can get your passport back before March 18th even you apply on March 14 because it only takes four working days for the processing. You can get it on March 17th even though you don't use the express service!

Dear Jennifer!
Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean when I submit the application on14th, I can get it by end of 17th with the normal process time ( which is 4 work days)? But 24-27 is in total 3 days. Just try to work out whether I need to apply for the speedy one.
Cheers!

Yes, I think you can get it by the end of 17th because the day that you submit the application counts as the 1st day. You can double check this with the CVASC London Branch.
