How many hours for Forbidden City tour

How many hours does it take to tour the Forbidden City? What day in March is good to visit, not too crowded? Thanks.

Most travelers spend about 2-3 hours visiting the Forbidden City. I suggest you do not visit there on weekend to avoid the crowds. Besides, it is closed on Mondays.
