Hello, I wanted to make a trip to Inner Mongolia for three days in May 1st week. Is that a good time to visit? I did some basic research and saw that keeping Hohhot as base, a 1-day trip can be made to the grassland. Is there a better plan for a short 3 day trip? Also, how can I make reservation for staying in a typical Mongolian tent? Thanks in advance!

Oh, May 1st to 3rd coincides with the May Day Holiday. So there will be more tourists than usual. The best time for a visit is in millde or late August. You may arrange your 3 day trip this way:Day 1: Dazhao Temple- Xilituzhao Palace Day 2: Inner Mongolia Museum- Wusutu National Forest ParkDay 3: the GrasslandIf you travel during this holiday, then you need to book the tent in advance through local travel agencies or operators.
