How to travel Hangzou - Suzhou-Shanghai?

We are 4 persons in our late sixties/early seventies planning to travel independently .I couldn"t see a railway or flight connection. Could you advise me as to the best way of traveling ?

You can make full use of the convenient bullet train as your transportation mode.
1. From Hangzhou to Suzhou: Take bullet train from Hangzhou East Railway Station. The duration is about 2 hours. Trains depart from 08:17 to 20:43.
2. From Suzhou to Shanghai: Take bullet train from Suzhou Railway Station. It only takes around 40 mins on the way. The train schedules are from 06:43 to 22:50.
