About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

hello; do we qualify for 144 hr free transit in Shanghai??

Hi we are travelling on a cruise which arrives at Hong Kong at 8.00am on the 4th of May and leaves on the 5th of May at 7.00pm a total of 35 hrs. ( this is the only stop in china excuding the finishing port of Shanghai on the 12th of May arriving at 4.00am)
We intend to stay in Shanghai for 4 days and will be flying out of Pu Dong airport on the 16th of May at 7.55pm to Sydney Australia.
Do we quallify for 144ht

Hi Peter, I have been investigating the situation for China also and came across your question. Sounds like we are on the same Cruise!! Hi Did you have any trouble doing this? What process did you do once you got to shanghai?

I am doing the other way round we are boarding our cruise from shanghai for 10 days final destination Singapore.
Your knowledge be greatly appreciated.
