Beijing Badaling great wall and forbidden city

1. How to hike up to the wall in great wall of china in badaling section? Are there stairs or rock to climb up?
2. Can one get forbidden city ticket one or two days in advance?

1. There are stairs for you to hike up.
2. Yes, admission tickets are available on the official ticket reservation website 10 days in advance, and will not be sold after 21:00 the day before the intended visit. But the website is in Chinese. If you have a Chinese friend, you may provide your passport number, and ask him or her to help you. If not, you had better get there early to buy a ticket with your passport. ;)

Thanks Era. 1. How many stairs approximately would be to go up the wall? how much time it should take for a normal healthy person? Are the ticket counters near the start of the stairs?

Well, I cannot find the exact number of the stairs.
Badaling Great Wall can be divided into north section and south section. Generally speaking, you need to spend around 3 hours to complete the north section. About the south section, it takes around 2-3 hours on foot.
In addition, you can easily find ticket service counters near the entrance. Have fun!
