Re-entering China after getting a visa cancelled

Hi, my partner went to China in 2013 on a dual entry F type. He made a mistake and accidentally overstayed on his first entry by 1 day. I was visiting at the time and as soon as we noticed we went to the visa office in Shanghai to try and get the problem sorted.

The office in Shanghai cancelled his F type and gave him an L type which gave him 10 days to leave. The original F type in his passport has a red cancelled stamp over it and then the L type is on the next page.

Will he be allowed back into PRC? We have organised a trip for later in the year taking advantage of the visa free period in Shanghai so we will not get our entry permit for our stay until we arrive in PRC. We could do with some advice. Thanks!

Laura, don’t worry! It won’t be a problem and he is allowed to enter PRC again.
