About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

solo traveller from capital airport to hotel transfer

As I've just retired and travelling on my own, how easy is it to use the express train/subway to get to Chong Wen Men Hotel? No. 2 West Chong Wen Men Street, DongCheng District.

Hi Caroline!
It's pretty easy, you go with airport express (AE) to the final stop (Dongzhimen), where you change to Line 2 (Blue line) that is a loop, so double check the direction. You should get off at Chongwenmen (right after Beijing Railway station). It's pretty easy, because the hotel is very close to the subway.

Only concern, if you go during rush ours and/or you have big luggage, it would need extra efforts, and maybe not the most comfortable to use the subway. (AE is fine)

So alternatively you get off the train at Sanyuanqiao (that is the station before Dongzhimen) from there take a taxi to your hotel - it should cost not more then 30-35rmb. You may go to Dongzhimen, but since many people transfer there, so it is much harder to get a taxi there.
Don't forget to prepare the name of your hotel and andress in Chinese and the phone number.
