About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Traveling to Guangzhou from US to work for 48hrs, then travel back to US. Can I use 72hr exemption?

Jim, I'm sorry you can't enjoy the free transit because you return to the country of departure directly after the transit. If you want to use it, you can choose to go back via HK or Macau.
