About:Hong Kong Airport Express

Hi. I need to cross ferry from HKG to Macau.

Is it best is to get to get Airport Express to Hong Kong and take a short cab ride to the ferry terminal?

No, you needn't go to HK actually. You can take a ferry to Macau from HKIA directly. The ferries are scheduled at 11:00, 13:15, 17:00, and 22:00, and the trip takes about 70 minutes. :)
