About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

International to Domestic Connetion - Luggage Transfer, Boarding Pass & Security Check in PEK,

We plan to arrive on May 8, 2016 from Vancouver by Air Canada Flight AC 29 and our connecting flight is Air China Flight CA 1469 to Lijiang. Flight from Vancouver AC 29 arrives at 14:10 and flight o Lijiang CA 1469 departs at 16:20. Do we have sufficient time? Do we have to gather our baggage after customs clearance and recheck them with Air China? I am told the baggage will be checked directly to Lijijang. Do we have to go through the Security for the Domestic Flight with all others or is the a special security check, presumably with shorter line, for the International Passengers transferring to Domestic flights? Also do we have to get Boarding Pass from Air China.

Well, both your two flights are located in T3. In general, it needs at least 2 hours to make this connection. Although you have enough time, it's still suggested to go through those procedures as soon as possible. As I know, u need to recheck in your luggage at PEK; for this matter, you'd better consult your airline in advance.

In addition, the correct transfer procedures are the following:
1. Inspection & Quarantine, Stamped on the Boarding Pass
2. Baggage Claim
3. Customs Inspection
4. Going through Transfer Formalities
5. Security check
6. Waiting & Boarding
