Does the 72 hour transit apply ?

My wife and I are flying into Hong Kong at 8:30 pm. We have an 11 hour layover. We'll leave the airport for a few hour to see HK. We fly to Beijing the next morning at 7:30, get to Beijing at 11:00 am.
We fly out two days later to Shanghai on our way back to the USA.
We plan on visiting the Great Wall on our day and a half in Beijing.
Does the 72 hour transit apply?

Thank you

Mike, sorry, the 72-hour free transit does not work for you because you stop over in two cities, namely, Shanghai and Beijing. If you can fly from Beijing direct to the US, then you are eligible.
