Traveling to Beijing from the US with a Venezuelan Passport

Greetings. I will be traveling from the US to Beijing with a Venezuelan passport.
1. Do I need a Visa?
2. How much time left do I need on my passport in order to enter? Will be staying for 1 week in April, 2016 and my passport expires on August 2016.
Thank you,

Dear, you need to get an entry permit before you leave for China. Specifically speaking, if you go there for sightseeing purposes, you should apply for an L type. Your passport should be valid for at least six month when you apply for the entry permit. So I think you need to renew your passport before submiting the application.
