About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

visit Beijing, can we use the 72 hour free transit?

We live in Okinawa, Japan. We want to have a long weekend in Beijing to see th Great Wall and other attractions. Are we able to use the 72 hour pass? Trying to figure out how to do our plane tickets. Would we have to route through another country on the way back to Okinawa to take advantage of this?

Laura, if you want to use the 72 hour free transit, you need to fly to a third country or region after your stopover in Beijing. So an onward air ticket to a third country is needed.
