Overstayed visa for 8 months

Hi
I am a foreing student in china, doing my second year education. lately i've had a problem. my X type is 8 months overdue , but I want to extend it, because I am still studying . I cannot go directly to the PSB because I may face deportation, and i'm not sure if i can trust the school to help me out here , they might just hand me over to the authorities . How can I sort this problem without getting deported ? Do I need the help of a lawyer?

Dear, I don’t think you can extend it at present because you have overstayed for so long.
As far as I know, there is no way to help you on this issue, even you can find a lawyer.
You should report your situation to the exit and entry administration as soon as possible. You will need to pay the fine and accept the relevant punishment. If you continue your overstay, I’m afraid you may face stricter punishment.
