Dear, may I know which country you are from? In fact, travelers from many countries can enjoy free entry to HK. If you come from one of those countries, you can enter HK freely.
But if not and you go there for tourism purpose, you should apply for a visit entry permit. First, prepare the required documents including the completed application form affixed with a passport-sized color photo, your passport, proof of your financial support, transportation arrangement such as flight itinerary, as well as your travel plan to HK and your valid entry permit to UK. Next, submit your application to the embassy of PRC in UK to apply for it, or post your application to HK immigration department to apply.
