american citizen in cr needs visa for china

Question

I am in San Jose and I want to know if I can get a L or Z type for PRC from the embassy here?  I am here on a 90 day entry permit.  I may be accepting a teaching job in PRC.  Maybe that will help if I tell them.  I may need to leave immediately. Thank you.

You can probably apply for a tourist L type or work Z type at the embassy of PRC in CR. But if you plan to work in PRC, you’d better apply for a work Z type direct.
