About:China Visa

I'm Greek, I have a ticket to Hong Kong with transfer via Beijing. Do I need a visa?

Based on my research, I found that Greek citizens may enter Hong Kong without an entry permit and stay for 90 days.
However, I am flying through Beijing airport where I stay 2 hours on my way to Hong Kong and back. Do I need to apply for a mainland entry permit? or do I need to apply for 72 hours free transit? or nothing?

Any replies would be highly appreciated.

Alexia, you don’t need to do anything because you can enjoy the free transit. After getting off, flowing the direction boards and go to the transit zone where the airline staff will stamp on your ticket.

Hi Richard,

Thank you very much for your reply.
Have you had personal experience of this situation? I am trying to find a solid statement because I wouldn't like risking it...
