About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

I want to catch maglev train to and from Shanghai, also will want to use it for subway and ferry.

how much do you suggest to put on the card please?

Well, it depends on how many days and where you are going to travel. Generally speaking, you can put about CNY 200-300 on the card to ride on subway lines, ferries and maglev trains. :)
