Overnight soft sleeper train from beijing to xian

my husband and i will be taking the Overnight soft sleeper ride from beijing to xian. will we be in a compartment by ourselves? how long of a trip is it?

There are four bunks, two upper and two lower in one compartment in the soft sleeper carriage. Thus, you have to share with other two passengers. If you want to have a private compartment only for you two, you can book the Luxury Soft Sleeper, which only has an upper and a lower bunk. The whole trip for the overnight train takes about 12-14 hours.
