About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Hong Kong Airport travel pass

I will be in HKG for 5 days....plan to take bus E11 to Tin Hau Station in Causeway Bay....stay 2 nights in HKG and go to Macau for 1 night and back to HKG for another night. I plan to take air express from HK Central back to HKIA cause of early flight. Should I buy the Air Express travel Card for $220. Is that valid to use on the bus E11, then 3 days unlimited bus/mtr/ferry rides and the air express on the 5th day. Do I need to top it up and when?

Yes, you can buy the AE Travel Pass with one single journey for HKD220. You can use it to ride on AE line back to HKIA; the ride will be valid for 14 days, no worry. Also, you can use it to ride on all MTR lines (except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations) within 72 hours after swiping it for the first time at the entrance gate. You cannot use it on buses or ferries unless you top it up.

Hence, you may top it up once you get it, so that you can use to take buses, ferries, trams, light rail, etc. It is very convenient.
